Last week I took a trip to Winkworth Arboretum in Surrey, with Hiking Nation to see the autumn leaves. For me this time of year is always difficult to deal with, as the nights draw in and the cold starts to creep into your very bones. But at least the leaves give us a good show for a few weeks before it gets really grim.

It rained hard that morning, but the weather cleared just as we arrived.

Many of the trees are still green; I think I need to go back again in a few weeks.
